Graveside Funeral Rites for Mrs. Annie Sue Padgett will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in the Bullock Cemetery. Mrs. Padgett, age 79, passed away from this life on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Hattiesburg. Brother Lamar Harrison will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Ross, James Raborn, Randy Raborn, Randy Craft, Nathan Craft, and T.J. Padgett.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Annie Sue Melton Padgett was born on January 17, 1947, in Huntington, TN, to Opal Kelley Newsome Melton and Carlie Lee Melton. Mrs. Padgett was a retired Lab Technician for Dairy Fresh Milk Company and was formerly a Stock Room Manager for Roses. She was a member of Union Baptist Church South.

She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Opal and Carlie Lee Melton; her husband of 52 years, Leonard E. Padgett, Jr.; grand-daughter, Tabitha Bullock; great-grandson, Noah O'Flynn; and 4 brothers, C.J. Melton, Tommy Melton, Bill Melton, and Eugene Melton.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Threasa Bounds (Tommy) of Sumrall, Debbie Bullock, and Susie Craft (Randy) , all of Seminary; 3 sisters, Melba Roberts, Dorothy Hampton, and Martha Webb, all of Carroll County, TN; 3 grandchildren, T.J. Padgett, Lauren Bullock, and Nathan Craft; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jaxson Padgett, Marley O'Flynn, Colton Craft, Adelyn Craft, and Sawyer Craft; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
