Bea Kirkley

Funeral services for Mrs. Bea Kirkley will be held at 10:00am Friday, January 18, 2019, at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Kirkley, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Laurel. Reverend Joe Abel will officiate and interment will be in the Ora Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Wayne Mooney, Ledrew Smith, Frank Sullivan, David Kirkley, Stephen Navarre, and Tommy Dilmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Garrett, David Dilmore, Ed Dilmore, Bob Shoemake, and David Smith.

Bea Atwood Kirkley was born June 21, 1938, in Smith County, MS to Homer Dunk Atwood and Claudie Mae Yelverton Atwood. Mrs. Kirkley was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Ora Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband of 48 years, Henry Talmage Kirkley; 2 sisters, Billie Sue Garrett, and Jo Faye Dilmore; and 1 brother, Mack Atwood.

Mrs. Kirkley is survived by 1 son, Henry Duncan Kirkley (Connie) of Poplarville; 3 daughters, Paula Gayle Owen (Tommy) of Collins, Tammie Kirkley of Collins, and Lori Lee (Kevin) of Brandon; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
