Funeral services for Betty Ann Moss Hollingsworth,90 of Collins were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 at Collins United Methodist Church with the Reverends Timothy Beard and Charles Waddell officiating. Internment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina at 11:00 a.m. of Friday, April 8 with Wade Funeral Home of Collins in charge of the arrangements. Reverend Timothy Beard accompanied the family to Spartanburg and officiated at the graveside ceremony.

Pallbearers were Betty's nephews, Everett Wray and Tim Holden, and great nephews Greyson Holden, Landon Wray, Luke Wray, Graham Holden, and Brandon Holden and her great nieces Lauren Elizabeth Wray Scoggins, Logan McKenzie Wray, Gini Grace Holden, Lindsey Wray Mampaka, Ellie Elizabeth Holden, and Lydia Ann Holden. Honorary pallbearers were her great great nephews Gabriel Isaiah Wray, Jackson Norris Scoggins and Elliot Etienne Mampaka and her great great nieces Lily Rose Wray and Lilah Collins Powell.

Betty Ann Moss Hollingsworth was born on June 24, 1931 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She passed away peacefully surrounded by beloved family and friends on April 3, 2022. She loved the Lord and was a devoted member of her Church where she held a number of positions. She was also a longtime President of the Collins Garden Club and involved in community service. She was a Red Cross Volunteer and involved in relief work after Hurrican Katrina. Betty loved life and people. One of her greatest joys was serving others. She loved to entertain and was a gracious hostess. Everyone was always welcomed into her home.

Betty was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles Henry and Minnie Hall, her parents James Oliver and Margaret Harbison, her husband Walter D. "Holly" Hollingsworth, her sons Baby Boy, Roy Gregory and Charles Henry Hollingsworth. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister Barbara Jean Moss Geer as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her son W.D. "David" Hollingsworth of Collins, nieces Margaret Elizabeth "Mimi" Geer Wray (Everett) and family of Roebuck, SC and Virginia Dare "Gina" Geer Holden (Tim) and family of Wake Forest, NC. She is also survived by a host of additional nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Some of Betty's favorite charities are: Children's of Mississippi Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, French Camp Academy and Methodist Children's Home of Mississippi.

First and foremost, always remember that Betty loved serving and interacting with everyone and she especially loved you.
