Funeral services for Betty Mason will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Mason, age 81, passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Collins. Reverend Thomas Shields will officiate and Bob Thames will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Prentiss City Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be John E. Wallin, F. Marc Richards, Chuck Crouch, John R. Wallin, Mason E. Wallin, Michael P. Wallin, and Chandler Rochelle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Danny Waldrop, Jasper Price, and Reid Rochelle.

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Williams Mason was born on August 30, 1935 in Lone Star to Frank H. Williams Sr. and Anna Bullock Williams. Mrs. Mason was a retired Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She was a member of Collins Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 3 sisters, Alma Pearl Gardner, Iris Sybil Venturini, and Evelyn Hazel Murray; 2 brothers, Isaac Milton Williams and Frank H. Williams Jr.

Survivors are her husband of 56 years Richard B. Mason of Collins; 3 daughters, Laci M. Wallin and her husband John E. of Virginia, Nanci L.M. Richards and her husband F. Marc of Illinois, and Vikki M. Crouch and her husband Chuck of Hernando; 10 grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until 1pm at Wade Funeral Home.

The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Forrest General Hospice in Hattiesburg Mississippi, Covington County Mississippi Chapter of Relay for Life, or, in keeping with Miss Betty's lifetime of service to others, a donation to any organization that serves other people given in her memory will be celebrated.
