Funeral Services for Billy Evans will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the New Chapel United Pentecostal Church. Mr. Evans, age 83, passed away from this life on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his residence near Collins. Reverend Ken Hickman and Reverend Tommy Shields will officiate and interment will follow in the Old Chapel Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Matt Evans, Kerby Evans, Robert Evans, Trent Hanegan, Hunter Keene, and Todd Hudson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Evans, David Hanegan, James Paul Evans, T.L. Evans, Rob Hudson, and Hubert Graves.                    .

Billy Denson Evans was born on August 11, 1935 in Lonestar to R.L. Evans and Angie Pope Evans. Mr. Evans formerly worked for Broadfoot Construction and was retired from Yellow Freight Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of New Chapel United Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his mother and father; and 9 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Gretchen Evans of Collins; 2 sons, Darrin Evans (Paula) of Canton, GA and Shane Evans (Kathy) of Ovieda, FL; 1 step-daughter, Amy Evans (Robert) of Collins; 2 step-sons, Todd Hudson (Jill) of Little Rock, AR, and Robert Hudson of Dover, DE; 9 grandchildren, Mandy, Kayla, Alexa, Tracy, Matt, and Samantha Evans, and Jake, Tarrynn, and Cooper Hudson; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at New Chapel United Pentecostal Church.
