A family memorial service for Mrs. Brenda Ellen Cornell will be held at a later date. Mrs. Cornell, age 75, passed away from this life on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Merit Health Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Brenda Ellen Parish Cornell was born on February 19, 1951, in Rock Island, IL, to Jim and Etta Mauldin Parish. Mrs. Cornell had an extensive career in health care as a Registered Nurse, spanning 40 years. She was a Methodist.

Mrs. Cornell was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jim and Etta Parish.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, David Cornell of Collins; 2 sons, Tony (Cindy) Cornell of Hattiesburg and Matthew (Christine) Cornell of Columbus, OH; and 3 grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
