Funeral services for Brother Tom Scarlett will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Liberty Baptist Church. Bro. Scarlett, age 87, passed away from this life on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in Hattiesburg. Brother Rick Scarlett and Brother Steve Miller will officiate, and interment will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be John Mark Scarlett, Rick Ferris, Billy Smith, Joe Salgado, Wayne Hardy, and Bob Smith.

Thomas Richard Scarlett was born on March 10, 1935, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Pat Thomas Edward Scarlett and Ludie Ophelia Shriver Scarlett. Bro. Scarlett was a Baptist Minister. He had formerly served as a law enforcement officer in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County Arkansas. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Bro. Scarlett was preceded in death by his mother and father; and 3 brothers, Ray Scarlett, Bill Scarlett, and Joe Scarlett.

Survivors include his wife of almost 69 years, Doris Scarlett of Collins; 2 sons, Brother Rick Scarlett (Rosa) of Deltona, FL, and John Mark Scarlett (Jan) of Pine Bluff, AR; 4 daughters, Deb Miller (Steve) of Collins, Becky Ferris (Rick) of Little Rock, AR, Mary Smith (Billy) of White Hall, AR, and Ella Ruth Salgado (Joe) of Forsyth, MO; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
