Funeral Services for Mr. Herman Cole will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Cole, age 89, passed away from this life on Monday, January 1, 2024, in Hattiesburg. Reverend Steve Wade will officiate and interment will be in the Union North Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Goss, Tim Ellzey, Josh Ellzey, Steve Alley, Jimmy Greenfield, and Jacky Miller.

Carl Herman "Hank" Cole was born on August 14, 1934, in Collins, to Jesse Robert Cole and Dilla Elizabeth Rawls Cole. Mr. Cole was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and was a retired pipeliner. Mr. Cole farmed and raised cattle on his family farm. He was a Mason and an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Cole was a lifelong member of Union North Baptist Church.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his mother and father; his twin infant brother; 2 brothers, S.D. Cole and William Hulon Cole; 5 sisters, Jon Doris Alley, Edna Earle Boyce, Cordelia Myrtrude D'Amico, Joyce Helena Allen, and Jesse Mae Bickham.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Cole of Collins; 1 sister, Rhoda Ann Yawn of Havana, AR; 1 sister-in-law, Gussie Cole of Magee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 1:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
