Funeral services for Mrs. Lee Pinson will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Pinson, age 91, passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Hattiesburg. Reverend George Moore will officiate and interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Simank, Mike Stewart, Joseph Hernandez, Robert Gonzales, Gabriel Melchor, and Phillip Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Herrin, Mike Simank, Chris Smith, and Joel Lovett.

Carrie Lee Pinson was born on November 3, 1930, in Newton County to Levi Gibbs and Carrie Hollingsworth Gibbs. Mrs. Pinson was a professional seamstress and tailor. She made wedding dresses and men's suits, as well as other clothing. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Rev. Huey M. Pinson; 1 daughter, Janet Marie Hammond; 2 grandchildren, Timmy Griffith and Michael Stewart; 4 great-grandchildren, Deborah Yates, Jasmine Chambliss, Ziva Holmes, and Joshua Rash; and 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Mary Ann Pinson of Seminary, Wanda Gail Stanton of Sumrall, Barbara Lynn Griffith (Doug) of Seminary, and Sandra Joy Herrin (Mike) of Hattiesburg; 16 grandchildren; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be the same day from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Wade Funeral Home.
