Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Ray, age 91, will be held at a later date. Mrs. Ray passed away from this life on Monday, February 15, 2021, in Marshal, AR. Interment will be in the Collins City Cemetery.

Charlene Elizabeth Kerchner Ray was born December 13, 1929, in Amboy, IL, to Charles and Clara Kerchner.

Mrs. Ray was a teacher in the Springfield Public Schools in Springfield, IL, and was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her husband of 50 years, William "Bill" Ray.

Survivors include 3 sons, Stephen L. Powers of Marshall, AR, Michael D. Powers and his wife Kim of Witt Springs, AR, and William M. Ray and his wife Judy of Magnolia, TX; 1 daughter, Trisha Coady and her husband Jeffrey of Springfield, IL; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Coady and his wife Leah, Conner Coady, Katelyn Coady, and Jared Powers; 3 great grandchildren, Logan Powers, Kathleen Powers, and Molly Anne Coady; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
