Funeral services for Mr. Charles Boyd "Chuck" Davis will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Davis, age 81, passed away from this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Hattiesburg. Brother Danny Forrest and Mr. Wayne Hill will officiate and Mrs. Tanya Magee, Mr. Guylon Gregory, Mrs. Christy Forrest, and Mr. Danny Forrest will provide the musical service. Interment will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Michael Buckley, Clayton Bynum, Cody Calhoun, Trent Hanegan, Ryan Lee, and Jeffery Magee. Ron Sanderson, Steve Pickering, Wayne Hill, Curry Davis, Stevie Sanford, Sandy Crimm, and Robert Newmane will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

Charles Boyd "Chuck" Davis was born on February 2, 1944, in Columbia to Francis Marion Davis and Margarite Sanford Davis. Mr. Davis owned his own trucking company and was a successful watermelon farmer. He enjoyed quail hunting with his dogs, and earlier in life fishing and exploring the Bouie River. Mr. Davis was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Margarite and Francis Marion Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Patsy Davis of Collins; 2 daughters, Sheila Ann Davis Buckley of Collins and Mary Joyce Davis Bynum of Seminary; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 brothers, Lynn Davis and Larry Davis, both of Collins; and a sister, Mary Hartzog of Prentiss; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be the Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 9:00am until 11:00am at Wade Funeral Home.
