Charles Rae Williamson

Funeral Services with Full Military Honors for Charles Rae Williamson will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church in Seminary. Mr. Williamson passed away from this life on Friday, July 14, 2017 at his home near Seminary. Reverend Glenn Shoemake and Reverend Brian Williamson will officiate and interment will be in Williamson Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Williamson, David Williamson, Richard Yawn, Richard Poore, Mark Lott, David Brooks, and Scott Williamson. Billy Knight will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

Charles Rae Williamson was born October 14, 1942 in Seminary to Rae Williamson and Lewois Lott Williamson. He was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Sr. Chief Williamson had over 3,000 hours of flight time in the P3 Orion Aircraft and was extremely proud of his service to Our Country. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Charles Rae Williamson was preceded in death by his mother and father; 4 brothers, Rae Edward Williamson, David Williamson, Sonny Williamson, and Milton Williamson; and 1 sister, Mary Lou Carlock.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynn Williamson of Seminary; 2 sons, Paul Williamson and his wife Michelle of Ovett and Johnathan Williamson and his wife Tracey of Seminary; 3 grandchildren, Scott Williamson, Storm Williamson, and Kai Williamson; 3 brothers, Kenny Williamson and his wife Judy of Seminary, Marcus Williamson and his wife Diane of Mt. Olive, and Carlton Lee Williamson and his wife Tammy of Collins; 2 sisters, Essie Gay Turner of Anniston, AL, and Debbie Carol Williamson of Collins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 9:30am until 11:00am at Calvary Baptist Church.
