Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Ford will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Station Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Ford, age 89, passed away from this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Hattiesburg. Brother Eddie Hartfield, Brother Clay Williamson, and Brother Joe Lott will officiate. Interment will follow in the Station Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Crawford Sullivan, Steve Sanford, Adam Seyfarth, Ben Geddes, Jim Ford, and Mark Grissom.

Clara Maude Stewart Ford was born October 27, 1936, in Collins to Ernest Lee Stewart, Sr. and Elva Usry Stewart. Mrs. Ford earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Library Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a retired School Teacher and Librarian with over 30 years of service with the Covington County Schools. Mrs. Ford had a lifelong impact on countless students at Collins Junior High and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Station Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elva and Ernest Stewart; her son, William Canton Ford, II; her husband of 59 years, W.C. Ford; and a brother, Ernest Lee "Snookey" Stewart, Jr.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her son, Ben Ford and his wife Frankie of Collins; 2 granddaughters, Meagan Ford Seyfarth and her husband Adam of Sunnyvale, CA, and Erin Ford of Hattiesburg; 3 sister-in-laws, Christine Stewart of Collins, Helen Grissom of Taylorsville, and Johnnie Ford of Collins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home in Collins, and Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 10:00am until 11:00am at Station Creek Baptist Church.
