Mr. Curtis Sanford

Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Sanford will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Sanford was 82 and passed away from this life on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at his residence near Collins. Reverend Steve Miller will officiate. Janet Sanford, Larry Sanford, and Sandra Lott will provide the musical service. Interment was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Archie Curtis Sanford was born on April 19, 1934 in Covington County to Ruben Cicero Sanford and Savannah Abercrombie Sanford. Mr. Sanford was a retired carpenter was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife of 58 years, Laavern Coulter Sanford; 2 daughters, Rene Sanford Cross and Infant Carolyn Sanford; 2 sisters, Marie Lott and Essie Lewis; and 4 brothers, Infant Ransom Sanford, Alex Sanford, R.C. Sanford, and Kervin Sanford.

Survivors are his 2 daughters, Lawanda Craft and her husband Darrell of Collins and Denece Craft and her husband Buddy of Seminary; 1 sister, Nell Lott of Collins; 4 grandchildren, Sammy Curtis Graham, Casey Brister, Jessica Brister, and Sawyer Cross; 4 great grandchilden, Hannah Brister, Leanna Evanson, Aubrey Cross, and Sammy Curtis Graham, Jr.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Wade Funeral Home in Collins.
