Darrell Thompson ( Mt. Olive )

Graveside Funeral Rites for Darrell Thompson will be held at 10:00am Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Thompson Family Cemetery. Mr. Thompson was 51 and passed away from this life on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Mt. Olive. Reverend Bob Phillips will officiate.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Thompson, Richard Loper, Russell Loper, Josh Breazeale, Shannon Breazeale, and B.J. Norris. Serving as Honorary Pallbeaers will be John Kitchens and Mark Mooney.

Douglas Darrell Thomson was born on August 21, 1968 to Doug Thompson and Marjean Carter Thompson. He was a contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his grandparents, J.T. and Hattie Mae Thompson and T.J. and Marjorie Carter.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Donna Burnham Thompson of Mt. Olive; 1 daughter, Kristen Thompson Nelson of Seminary; 2 grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Mary K. Burnham of Collins; and a brother, David Allen Thompson of Seminary; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
