David Donald Egbert, Sr.

Funeral services for David Egbert, Sr. will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 8, 2016, at Smyrna Baptist Church. Mr. Egbert was 65 and passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in Hattiesburg. Reverend Gary Bridges will officiate and Ann Ingram will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gingrich, Dale Gingrich, D.J. Kinney, Derek Clark, William Crosby, and Logan Baughman. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be John Hollingsworth, John Blandford, Chris Gingrich, Trenton Crosby, and Melvin Crosby.

David Donald Egbert, Sr. was born March 28, 1951 in Louisville, KY to Everette Egbert and Minnie Morris Egbert. Mr. Egbert was a retired Sergeant from the Louisville Police Department and was a truck driver. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and 2 sons, Donnie Egbert and David Egbert, Jr.

Mr. Egbert is survived by his wife Jo Ellen Crosby Egbert of Collins; 1 son, James Aaron Egbert of Collins; 3 daughters, Sharon Bodet and her husband Christopher of Vicksburg, Kristen Rene Sim and her husband John Blandford of Louisville, KY, and Tammy Hollingsworth and her husband John of Seminary; 2 brothers, Don Arnold of Anderson, IN, and Ron Jordan of Cheyenne, WY; 4 sisters, Betty Johnson of Adairville, KY, Barbara Pointer of Central City, KY, Geneva Patterson of Louisville, KY, and Terri Hopt of Indianapolis, IN; 8 grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Smyrna Baptist Church.
