Funeral services for Mr. Don Flynt will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Leaf River Baptist Church. Mr. Flynt, age 79, passed away from this life on Friday, December 19, 2025, at his residence near Collins. Reverend Dr. Joseph Bird. Reverend Mike Davis, and Mr. Roger Wood Speed will officiate. The musical service will feature Gloria Barnes and Babette Duty. Interment will follow in the Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Peyton Flynt, Kevin Polk, Mark Rogers, Clayton Speed, Steve Duty, Michael Taormina, Rusty Rushing, and Jim Ingram. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Speed, Ronnie Wells, David Speed, Roger Wood Speed, and the Deacons of Leaf River Baptist Church.

Donald Ray Flynt was born November 11, 1946, in Laurel, to Hollis and Macie Rayner Flynt. Mr. Flynt was retired from Georgia Pacific and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a member, a deacon and the former music director of Leaf River Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Macie and Hollis Flynt; his wife of 52 years, Rachel Jean Speed Flynt; and a sister, Dorothy Wells.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jason Flynt (Regina) of Sanford, and Jonathan Flynt of Collins; 2 grandsons, Eli Flynt and Peyton Flynt; and 2 brother-in-laws, Roger Wood Speed (Trish) and David M. Speed (Judy), all of Collins; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Speed of Collins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Aunt Glenda Duckworth, Uncle Ken and Carol Rayborn, Comfort Care Hospice, and their entire Leaf River Church Family for all the care, love, support, and prayers during Mr. Flynt's illness.
