Mrs. Donna Jackson

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel for Donna Lynn Jackson, age 60. Mrs. Jackson passed away from this life on Friday, May 20, 2016 at her residence near Bassfield. Rev. Seth Bond and Rev. Jack Andrews will officiate. Mary Ann Shoemake, Bob Thames, and Marcie Brown will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Santee Methodist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Mackie Mayfield, Caleb Mayfield, Jason Chain, Michael Yates, Christopher Shoemake, and Eddie Joe Jackson. Kevin Yates will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

Donna Lynn Shoemake Jackson was born in Collins on May 24, 1955, to Granville Shoemake and Willene Taormina Shoemake. She was a homemaker and was a member of Santee Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Frances Shoemake Yates.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Jackson of Bassfield; her mother, Billie T. Duplessy of Seminary; 1 daughter, Melissa Mayfield and her husband Mackie of Seminary; 1 son, Todd Liles and his wife Shannon of Austin, TX; 3 step-daughters, Maranda Burns, Melody Jackson, and Malea Brumfield, all of Bassfield; 1 step-son, Eddie Joe Jackson and his wife Erica of Bassfield; 2 sisters, Dianne Chain and her husband Morgan of Mt. Olive and Vickie Miller and her husband Matt of Seminary; 3 brothers, Billy Shoemake and his wife Belinda of Collins, Douglas Shoemake and his wife Mary Ann of Collins, and Steve Duplessy and his wife Keila of Petal; 5 grandchildren, Caleb Mayfield, Abby Mayfield, Macy Mayfield, Willa Liles, and Everett Liles; 9 step-grandchildren, Alaina Jackson, Autumn Jackson, Alli Jo Jackson, Gunner Jackson, Giles Burns, Kaison Grant, Rylan Brumfield, Bentley Brumfield, and Hank Steed; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening at the Wade Funeral Home from 5:30 until 8 pm.
