Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Janet Lott will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Seminary Baptist Church.  Mrs. Lott, age 94, passed away from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her residence near Seminary. The Reverend Dr. Tim Hubbard will officiate and Dr. Melanie Hubbard and Mr. Bob Thames will provide the musical service. Interment will follow in the Seminary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gale Martin, Paul Martin, James A. Kelly, Richard Thames, Paul Hathorn, and Ryan Bonds.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Emma Janet Hathorn Lott was born on August 16, 1928, in Sumrall to Thomas Edward Hathorn and Rachel Eunice Mangum Hathorn. Mrs. Lott was a retired seamstress from Movie Star and had formerly worked for General Electric. She was a member of Seminary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Andrew Jackson Lott, Jr; and her brother, Kenneth Hathorn.

Mrs. Lott is survived by her 2 sons, Van E. (JoBeth) Lott of Collins, and Timothy A. (Margaret) Lott of Seminary; 2 grandchildren, Jason Lott and Myra Lott; and 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Hathorn of Columbia; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Seminary Baptist Church.
