Graveside Funeral Services for Ms. Jeane Keyes will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Keyes, age 75, passed away from this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in Hattiesburg. Reverend Danny Forrest will officiate.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Jeane Compton Keyes was born on March 6, 1948, in Vian, OK, to Bert and Della Mae Anderson Compton. She was a homemaker and a member of Glade Baptist Church.

Ms. Keyes was preceeded in death by her parents, Bert and Della Mae Compton; her first husband and the father of her children, Everett Earl Pickering, Sr; husbands, David Anderson and Mike Keyes; 2 brothers, Gene and Charles Compton; and 2 sisters, Augusta Dameron and Katherine Chambers.

Ms. Keyes is survived by 2 sons, Everett (Carla) Pickering, Jr, of Lake Charles, LA, and David Glenn (Naomi Boutte) Pickering of McKees Rocks, PA; 1 daughter, Lora (Maynard) West of Collins; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Betty Rogers, Gary Compton, and Bert Compton, all of Texas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at Wade Funeral Home.
