Funeral Services for Gentry William Reed will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Reed, age 29, passed away from this life on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Dallas, TX.  Reverend Reese Douglas Jr and Reverend Doug Barber will officiate. Graveside Service and Interment, with Full Military Honors, will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.

Gentry William Reed was born in Metairie, LA on October 25, 1989 to William Thomas Reed and Fronda Michelle Gentry Reed.

Private Gentry William Reed served with the 25 ^th Infantry Division, 3 ^rd Battalion, and 509th Infantry Airborne.  He was 3 ^rd generation Army and 2 ^nd generation Airborne.  He followed his Uncle Joel's footsteps into Jump School for the US Army Airborne and was a veteran of the War in Afghanistan.  Gentry will be remembered for having a generous heart.  He was a very strong willed individual but always had time to help out a friend in need.  His passions were the Oil and Automotive industries.  He enjoyed his time in the oil fields and eventually became OSHA certified.  He was also proud of his time as a manager in the Automotive Service industry.  He loved to sell.  His faith was strong and he believed in God and Jesus and spent considerable time in the Bible.  We know he is at peace and now looking down upon us.  He will be missed by us all.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, James Wallace Reed; maternal grandparents, Meddie Joe Gentry and Johnnie Rose Gentry; 1 uncle, Rick Hilsabeck; and 1 cousin, Audi Lowery.

Survivors include his mother, Fronda Michelle Reed of McKinney, TX; father, William Thomas Reed of Plano, TX; 1 brother, William Thomas Reed, Jr. of Overland Park, KS; 1 sister, Meghan Nicole Worthington (Phillip) of McKinney, TX; paternal grandmother, Beverly Ann Reed of Menasha, WI; 1 niece, Lilly Ryan Worthington; and 1 nephew, Nolan Frances Reed; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 21 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
