Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys Williams Butler will be held at 3:30pm on Sunday, December 12, 2021, in the Eminence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Butler, age 98, passed away from this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in Collins. Reverend Rodney Smith and Reverend Darrell Copeland will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ben Williams, Christopher Williams, Scott Williams, Levi Williams, Tony Rigney, and T.J. Butler. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Sanford, Randall Leggett,  John Williams, Jr., Johnny Anderson, and Zane Collins.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Marie Leggett Williams Butler was born on October 14, 1923, in Seminary to Elmer and Alice Williamson Leggett. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and a member of Eminence United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her first husband, John Sharp Williams; her second husband, Howard Butler; 1 son, Thomas Earl Williams; 2 brothers, Kenneth Leggett and Thomas Leggett; and 1 sister, Floy Saul.

Survivors are 4 sons, John Wiley Williams (Shelby) of Seminary, David Williams (Kathy) of Ruston, LA, James Williams (Martha) of Hattiesburg, and Stanley Williams (Cynthia) of Mt. Olive; 1 daughter-in-law, Kay Williams of Seminary; and 1 sister, Pearl Tanner of Collins; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
