Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys McDaniel will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. McDaniel, age 99, passed away from this life on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Collins. Reverend Daryl Coats will officiate, and Mr. Tony Smith will deliver the eulogy.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Reed McDaniel, Ty McCallum, Tony Smith, Dayton Smith, Matthew McDaniel, Ethan McDaniel, Chase Mitchell, Derek Lee and Eric Maples.

Gladys McDaniel was born on November 30, 1919 in Covington County to Joseph Harris Farnham and Rhoda Bell Pitts Farnham. Mrs. McDaniel was an Avon saleslady for over 50 years. She was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.

Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, George Carroll McDaniel; 2 brothers, Wilson Farnham and Julius Farnham; 3 sisters, Irene, Bonnie and Mary Lou Farnham.

Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Dale McDaniel of Malcolm, AL and Christopher Allen McDaniel (Nancy) of Taylorsville; 1 daughter, Carolyn Sue McDaniel Carpenter of Hattiesburg; 7 grandchildren, Tony, Denae, Paige, Eric, Matthew, Lindsay and Reed; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm at Wade Funeral Home.
