Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Norris will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Norris, age 65, passed away from this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Laurel. Brother Steve Carter will officiate and interment will be in the Okahay Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Justin Wilson, Jeremy Norris, Scott Jenkins, Ricky Tischer, Tyler Coleman, and Darren Herrin. Brandon Norris and Weston Eisenhardt will serve as Honorary Pallbearers

Glenda Joyce Hamilton Norris was born on May 25, 1958, in Collins to George Glen Hamilton and Virginia Strebeck Hamilton. Mrs. Norris was a homemaker and a member of Taylorsville Church of Christ.

Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her father, Glen Hamilton; her mother, Virginia Strebeck Hamilton Thrash; and her step-father, James Thrash.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman Norris of Taylorsville; her son, Brandon Norris (Laura) of Collins; her daughter, Ginifer Jenkins (Scott) of Collins; 4 grandchildren, Weston Eisenhardt, Trinity Eisenhardt, Natalie Norris, and J.R. Jenkins; 2 sisters, Judy Galt of Champaigne, IL, and Angrea Peters of Livingston, LA; and 2 brothers, Terry Thrash of Seminary and Steve Hamilton of Hammond, LA; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5:30pm until 8:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
