Funeral services for Gwendolyn Hammerman will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Rock Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hammerman was 92 years of age and passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Collins. Reverend Nelson Crozier will officiate and interment will be in the Rock Hill Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Anglin, John Anglin, Robbie Sellers, Walt Sellers, Greg Kelly and Preston Diehl.

Gwendolyn Carlene Jones Hammmerman was born on February 25, 1927 in Philadelphia, MS, to John B. Jones and Clennie E. Dearing Jones. She was a seamstress and a clothing designer. Mrs. Hammerman loved making square dance costumes and quilts. Mr. and Mr. Hammerman were avid square dancers. Mrs. Hammerman was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Hammerman is survived by her husband of 75 years, Robert E. Hammerman of Mt. Olive: 1 daughter, Frances Pelletier of Mt. Olive; 5 grandchildren, Johnny Hodge, Sheila Robbins, Stephanie Carter, Stacy Gutierrez, and James Pelletier; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00am until service time at Rock Hill Baptist Church.
