Funeral services with military honors for Mr. Jack Lamb will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Lamb, age 76, passed away from this life on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Collins. Elder Everette Broom will officiate, and interment will follow in the Welch-Graham Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Shoemake, Matt Hallstead, Dale Polk, Bill Powell, Mickey Smith, and Wayne Folks. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan McNeil, Easton Shoemake, and Kayson Shoemake.

Jack Sexton Lamb was born on December 3, 1944, in Bolivar County to Thomas and Lucille Lamb. Mr. Lamb was a realtor and an insurance claims adjuster for 27 and ½ years at Crawford & Company. Mr. Lamb was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Air Force Security Service. He was a member of Parkway Heights United Methodist Church and an avid member of the Mississippi Great Southern of the National Railroad Historical Society.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Kay Woodrick.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Sanford Lamb of Hattiesburg; 1 son, Jason Lamb (Kari) of Hattiesburg; 2 stepdaughters, Shaunte Hallstead (Matt) of Seminary and Leslie Shoemake (Rocky) of Collins; 6 grandchildren; and 1 brother, Tom Lamb (Sherry) of Franklin, TN; as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be the Friday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Wade Funeral Home.
