Funeral Services for Mr. James Earl Anglin will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Rock Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Anglin, age 79, passed away from this life on Monday, October 9, 2023, in Hattiesburg. Reverend Nelson Crozier will officiate and interment will be in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Addison Anglin, Risher Anglin, Chase Anglin, John Anglin, Roy Keyes, and Steve Sanford. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn Smith, Doug Shoemake, Clyde Herrington, Danny Leggett, and Harold Aultman.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Earl Anglin was born on February 2, 1944, in Covington County to James Archie "Tootie" Anglin and Katie Belle Rutland Anglin.

Mr. Anglin went to work with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad following his graduation from high school. After several years, he went to work with Chevron, where he drove a gas truck until he transferred to Chevron Offshore Oil and Gas. Mr. Anglin retired from Chevron after 28 years of service. After retirement, Mr. Anglin worked for H.L. "Jamie" Quick Oil and Clark Oil as a truck driver.

James Earl Anglin was a proud veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant (E-6) after 23 year of serving his country. He was a member of the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge. Mr. Anglin was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church.

James Earl Anglin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved the Lord. He loved being with his family, had a great sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his first wife, Gail Smith Anglin; 2 sisters, Kathy Lynn Anglin and Elizabeth Ann Sanford; 2 nephews, Zack Sanford and Lee Sanford; and his niece, Dawn Anglin.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Anglin of Collins; 2 sons, Clay Anglin of Richton, and Chad Anglin (Karen) of Collins; daughter-in-law, Anzie Anglin of Collins; 4 step-children, Stacy Gandy (Lisa) of Collins, Christi Cascio (Ance) of Seminary, Cindy Rials (Brian) of Seminary, and Scott Gandy of Collins; grandchildren, Chase Anglin (Savannah), Addison Anglin (Morgan), Savannah Anglin, Risher Anglin, and Abby Anglin; 8 step-grandchildren, Lane Gandy (Cheyanne), Jonathan Gandy, Anna Cascio, Ambra Jordan (Nick), Ashleigh Kirkland (Justin), Kaylee Baggett (Jackson), Brianna Glossin (Christian), and Jacob Rials; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles Alexander Anglin (Elsie) of Mt. Olive; and 1 sister, Martha Anglin Knight of Collins.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:30pm until 8:00pm at Wade Funeral Home and on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 9:00am until service time at Rock Hill Baptist Church.
