Funeral Services for Mr. Jim Strebeck will be held at 11:30am on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Strebeck, age 78, of Collins passed away from this life on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his residence near Collins. Reverend Stephen Hartman will officiate and interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be James Reynolds, Greg Reynolds, Patrick Dennis, Van Strebeck, Lee Davis, and Brad Davis. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Walter Cagle, Charles Seefong, and Harry Wheeler.

James Erwin "Jim" Strebeck was born on August 27, 1948, in Hattiesburg to Lula Olivia Richardson Strebeck and Walter William Strebeck. Mr. Strebeck was a graduate of Jones College and was a a farmer and truck driver. He loved gardening and his horses. He was a member of of Salem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lula and Walter Strebeck; an infant sister, Olivia Dell Strebeck; and 4 brothers, Ray Strebeck, David Strebeck, Dewitt Strebeck, and Karl Strebeck.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann Reynolds Strebeck of Collins; his  son, Kevin Strebeck (Jamie) of Collins; 2 sisters, Mary Morton (Bobby) of Mobile, AL, and Nancy Strebeck of Pensacola, FL; 2 sister-in-laws, Betty Strebeck of Sumrall, and Letha Seefong (Charles) of Seminary; and his beloved fur babies, Cooper and Trevon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00am until 11:30am at Salem Baptist Church.
