A memorial service for Mr. Jamie Speed will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Speed, age 73, passed away from this life on Monday, December 1, 2025, at his residence near Collins. Brother Ronnie Purser will officiate.

James Lloyd "Jamie" Speed was born on September 15, 1952, in Collins to Beatrice Thames Speed and James Harold Speed. He was a retired poultry farmer and the former Collins Police Chief.

Mr. Speed was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his wife, Elizabeth Speed..

Survivors include his wife, Judy Craft of Collins; his son, Jared Speed of Savannah, GA; 1 brother, Glenn "Beaver" Speed(Tammy Lynn), of Collins; 1 sister, Lydia McRaney of Collins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
