Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Yawn will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Station Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Yawn passed away from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Elder Steve Ellis and Elder Joe Lott will officiate and Matthew Pickering will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Station Creek Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home of Collins is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Paul Keys, Tony Keys, Brian Keys, Joey Pape, Dan Fuller, and Giles Grice.

Janet Catherine Pape Yawn was born April 28, 1948 in Auburn, CA, to W.C. Pape and Agonis Dease Pape. Mrs. Yawn was a retired teacher, with over 33 years in the public and private schools. She earned an Associates Degree from Jones Junior College, Her Bachelor's Degree from The University of Southern Mississippi, and both Master's and Specialist Degrees from William Carey College. Janet Yawn was a member of Station Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Dale Yawn of Collins; 1 son, Michael Yawn and his wife Melanie of Collins; 1 daughter, Theresa Yawn Smith of Byram; 1 brother, Billy Pape and his wife Kay of Raymond; 1 sister, Virginia Keys and her husband Charles of Collins; and 4 grandchildren, Brannon Little, Baylor Little, Mason Yawn, and Mark Yawn; as well a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for will be Monday from 5:30pm until 8 pm at Wade Funeral Home.
