Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Welborn will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Grace Outreach Church in Seminary. Mrs. Welborn, age 73, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in Hattiesburg. Brother Mike Davis will officiate. Interment will be in the Pathway Community Church Cemetery in Laurel.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Justin Mattox, Brett Sanford, Dallas Trehern, Ryan Trehern, Shawn Ryals, and Robert Mattox.

Janie Bell Acy Welborn was born on January 13, 1949, in Blackhawk, to Julius Kristopher Acy and Mary Virginia Farrish Acy. Mrs. Welborn was a homemaker and a member of Grace Outreach Church.

Mrs. Welborn was welcomed into Heaven by her mother and father; 1 grandchild, Skylar Trehern; and 1 sister, Mary Ellen Hughes.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Jeffrey "Buttermilk" Welborn of Collins; 3 daughters, Tracie Mattox (Robert) of Wichita Falls, Linda Kaye Hunley (Allen) of Greenville, KY, and Jackie Trehern (Dallas) of Mobile, AL; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Wanda Street (Winston) of Laurel, Vedia Warr of Theodore, AL, and Rachel Busby (Danny) of Strengthford; and 1 brother, Mark Koursh of Minneapolis, MN; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be from 12:30pm until 1:30pm on Sunday at the Church.
