Jerry Greene

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Greene will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the Chapel of the Wade Funeral Home in Collins. Mr. Greene, age 76, passed away from this life on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Hattiesburg. Reverend Chad Cummings will officiate and Becky Eubanks will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Coty Owens, Steven Mapp, Rustin Baker, Jacob Baker, Zachary Greene, and Matthew Greene.

Jerry Stanley Greene was born August 28, 1940 in Smith County to Basher Greene and Myrtle Sullivan Greene. Mr. Greene was a retired truck driver and a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Magee.

Jerry Greene was preceded in death by his mother and father; 3 sisters, Peggy Hopkins, Waudean Mitchell, and Vicky Thornton; and 2 brothers, Ricky Greene and Jimmy Greene.

Mr. Greene is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathryn Bass Greene of Collins; 4 sons, John Greene and his wife Cindy of Hope, AR, Jay Greene and his wife Judy of Louisville, AR, Greg Greene and his wife Kathy of Hope, AR, and Craig Mapp of Collins; 2 daughters, Karen Baker and her husband Darrell and Barbara Owens and her husband Clay, all of Seminary; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home in Collins.
