Funeral Services for Mr. Joe R. McKay, Jr. will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the Chapel of Wade Funeral Home. Mr. McKay, age 80, passed away from this life on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at his residence near Seminary. Reverend Craig Cluff will officiate, and Mrs. Deanna Cluff and Mrs. Stacey Slatton will perform a musical tribute. Interment will follow in the Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Easton Chandler, Kris Dennis, Clay Dennis, Nate Dennis, Tate Oliver, and Brandon Robinson.

Joe Russell McKay, Jr. was born on November 1, 1945, in Greenwood to Joe Russell McKay, Sr. and Frances Mildred Wigley McKay. Mr. McKay was a retired Bridge Contractor for T. L. Wallace Construction Company. Mr. McKay was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe Russell McKay, Sr. and Frances Mildred Wigley McKay; his wife, Frances Speed McKay; his daughter, Angela Hill; and a sister, Sadie Craft.

Survivors include 3 daughter, Kari Chandler (Mike) of Seminary, Andrea Dennis (Gary Wayne) of Collins, and Renee Blount of Hattiesburg; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Rawls of Seminary; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be from 9:30am until 11:00am on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Wade Funeral Home, 401 Main Street in Collins.
