Funeral Services for Mr. Tony Darden will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church. Mr. Darden, age 48, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in Collins. Reverend Chad Cummins, Reverend John Barnes, III, and Mr. Neil Graves will officiate. Mr. John Amory Darden, Reverend Clay Graves, Mr. Bob Thames, and Mrs. Anita Humphrey will provide the musical service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Blackwell, Todd Blackwell, Tyler Brown, Brandon Wilborn, Jack Knight, Kevin Cagle, Mark Cole, and Scotty McRaney. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Blackwell, Karry Tuggle, Jr, Stephen Brown, Jeremy Wilborn, Clay Graves, Daniel Craft, Neil Graves, Hadden Boren, John Mark Cole, Nick McRaney, Troy Graves, Trey Graves, and Greg Knight.

John Anthony Darden was born on January 12, 1974, in Laurel to John Mack Darden and JoAnn Williamson Darden. Mr. Darden was a forklift operator for Georgia Pacific, as well as a dispatcher and fire truck builder. He loved anything music, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Ole Miss Athletics, and most of all his family. Mr. Darden was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Mr. Darden was preceded in death by an infant child; his father, John Mack Darden; a brother, John Craig Darden; and his father-in-law, Jerry McRaney.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gayla McRaney Darden of Collins; 2 sons, Jarrett Anthony Darden and William Brady Darden, both of Collins; his mothers, Joanne Darden of Mt. Olive, and Sherri Darden of Mize; his step-father, Michael Darden of Mt. Olive; 1 sister, Amy Cole (Mark) of Mize, 1 brother, John Amory Darden (Danielle) of Mize; mother-in-law, Jackie McRaney of Collins; 2 sister-in-laws, Kristen Graves (Neil) of Colllins, and Alana McRaney of Alexandria, VA; 1 brother-in-law, Scotty McRaney (Mary Ann) of Collins; nieces and nephews, Cara Cole, Emily Cole, John Mark Cole, Leah Boren, Hadden Boren, Clay Graves, Haley Graves, Nick McRaney, Meaghan McRaney, Troy Graves, Trey Graves, and a special child.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Evergreen Baptist Church, and on Wednesday from 9:00am until 11:00am, also at Evergreen Baptist Church.
