Funeral Services for Mr. Joe Clark will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 26, 2025, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Clark, age 83, passed away from this life on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home near Mt. Olive. Brother Larry Dennis, Jr., will officiate and interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Thompson, Camden Thompson, Doug Clark, B.J. Blackwell, Isiah Warren, and Hunter Culpepper.

Joseph Amerson "Joe" Clark was born on May 11, 1942, in Smith County to Mayo and Hattie Smith Clark. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Georgia Pacific in Talorsville after 38 years of service as a hot press operator. Mr. Clark was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hattie and Mayo Clark; and 2 brothers, James Clark and Willard Clark.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Ann Clark of Mt. Olive; his daughter, Lori Angela McDonald of Mize; 5 grandchildren, Bailey Odom, Christopher Thompson (Taylor Hasie), Camden Thompson, Addison McDonald, and Kynlee McDonald; and 1 brother, Bennie Clark (Wanda) of Mt. Olive; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2025, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Wade Funeral Home.
