Funeral services for Mr. Ken Wood will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 15, 2018 in the Chapel at Wade Funeral Home. Mr. Wood passed away from this life on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Hattiesburg.  The Reverend Monty Bounds will officiate and interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Nelson, Chandler Kervin, Hunter Nelson, Russell Nance, Doug Harper, and Jay Arrington. Lane Musgrove and Craig Thames will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Kenneth Larry Wood was born on October 19, 1948 in Collins to Clarence Robert Wood and Troy Merle Magee Wood. Mr. Wood was retired from a long career with Bell South and AT&T. He was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his mother, Troy Merle Burns and father, Clarence Robert Wood.

Survivors are 2 daughters, Nita Nelson of Sumrall and April Lott (Shea) of Hattiesburg; 1 son, Christian "Bear" Wood of Purvis; 6 grandchildren; 1 sister, Brenda Hughes (John) of Collins; his step-father, Roderick Burns of Collins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 10:00am until 11:00am at Wade Funeral Home.
