Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Sullivan Rawls will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Rawls, age 77, passed away from this life on Friday, March 15, 2024, in Hattiesburg. Brother Joe Lott, Brother Clay Williamson, Brother Jimmy Long, and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate, and interment will follow in the Bullock Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Sullivan, Crawford Sullivan, Kyle Sullivan, Charlie Sullivan, Tony Sullivan, Ryan Higdon, and Barry Lowery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Gail Sullivan Rawls was born on October 22, 1946, in Hattiesburg, to Brother Carl and Mary Lee Sullivan. Mrs. Rawls earned her B.A. and her M.A. in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She retired as a guidance counselor from the Hattiesburg Public School System. After her retirement, Mrs. Rawls was the social worker at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab. She was a life-long member of Sanford Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Brother Carl and Mary Lee Sullivan; 2 brothers, Crawford Sullivan (Bobby) and Gerald Sullivan (Janet); her husband, Brother Joe Rawls; and her grandson, Cameron Parsons.

Survivors include her 2 children, Aleta Parsons (Tadd) and Clay Rawls (Patti), all of Perkinston; 6 grandchildren, Patrick Rawls (Lauren) of Hattiesburg, Ethan Parsons of Perkinston, Caroline Parsons of San Diego, CA, Allison Costin of Hattiesburg, Piper Olive Parsons, and Cade Rawls, both of Perkinston; 3 great-grandchildren, Carter Brady Parsons, Liam Patrick Rawls, and James Howell Rawls; and her nieces, nephews, and their children, all of whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5:00pm until 8:30pm at Sanford Missionary Baptist Church and on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from11:00am until 1:00pm at Sanford Missionary Baptist Church.
