Funeral services for Ms. Louise D. Smith will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in the Wade Funeral Home Chapel. Ms. Smith, age 94, passed away from this life on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Collins. Brother Gary Bridges, Brother Reese Douglas, Jr, and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate. Ms. Carolyn Prince and Mrs. Martha Douglas will offer a musical tribute and interment will be in the Ora Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Michael Tiny Thrash, Josh Goldman, Charlie Goldman, Kevin Thrash, Cayden Thrash, Logan Thrash, and Zame Goldman.

Louise Dicken Smith was born on August 25, 1928, in Covington County, to Melton Dickens and Bertha McKenzie Dickens. Ms. Smith was a Retired Certified Nurse Assistant and a member of New Bethany Baptist Church.

Ms. Smith was welcomed into Heaven by her mother and father; her husband, Haskel W. Smith, 3 daughters, Ann Wade, Diane Sanford, and Doris Mitchell; 1 daughter-in-law, Pat Thrash; 3 brothers, Alvin Dickens, William Dickens, and Dr. Hugh Dickens; and 4 sisters, Clarene Vickery, Helen Morgan, Isabell DeSheilds, and Dorothy Kilgore.

Survivors include 2 sons, Leon Thrash and Mike Thrash (Margaret), all of Seminary; 2 sisters, Ona Mae McNair and Minnie Mae King (James, all of Collins; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2022, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Wade Funeral Home.
