Funeral Services for Mrs. Mamie Lee Amason will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Mize. Mrs. Amason went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She was 92 years 6 months and 6 days of age. Brother Stephen Bush will officiate and interment will be in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Smith, David Hathorne, Matthew Hathorne, Larry "Sam" Waters, Rylan Butler, and Landyn Butler.

Mamie Lee Smith Amason was born in Smith County March 3, 1928, to Harvey Smith and Ola Mae Byrd Smith. Mamie Lee went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Mamie Lee was a Homemaker and long time member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Mize.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband of seventy-two years, Rayvon Amason; and her daughter, Amerylis Ann Amason Waters.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra Smith (Kirby) of Rowlett, TX, and Rhonda Hathorne of Mize; Son-in-law Larry Waters of Collins;
5 Grandchildren, Nikki Perison, LeighAnn Waters-Melton (Josh), Larry Waters (Sarah), Kimberly Morale (Matt), Matthew Hathorne;
8 Great Grandchildren, Rylan Butler, Ava Melton, Jaylyn Perison, Landyn Butler, Jax Perison, Clark Morale, Harper Adkins, and Kolton Morale;
Sister-in-law, Adierene Pennington of Mt. Olive; and Brother-in-law, Mitchell Amason of Mize; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2020, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
