Graveside Funeral Services for Margie Rigaud will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Lone Star Cemetery. Ms. Rigaud, age 76, passed away from this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Mt. Olive. Mr. Rocy Rigaud and Mr. Chris Collins will officiate and Mr. D'avid Collins will provide a musical tribute. Interment will be in the Lone Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Seth Ellis, Paul Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Brayden Ellis, Randy Easterling, Rodney Rigaud, Cole Rabon, and Chris Collins.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie Katherine Ellis Rigaud was born on June 9, 1949, in Jackson to Nathaniel Fulton Ellis and Hellen Carrington Ellis. When she was a small child, Ms. Rigaud was the only survivor of an automobile accident that killed her entire family. She was adopted and raised by her uncle and aunt, Robert and Virginia Williams Ellis. Ms. Margie worked her entire life, despite being severely injured by the accident. She was widely loved by the Grand Isle, LA, community where she worked as a cook at Joe Bob's Grill, retiring only 4 years ago.

She was a member of Cooley Springs Baptist Church.

Ms. Rigaud was preceded in death by her mother and father, Nathaniel and Hellen Ellis; her brother, Nathanial F. Ellis, Jr.; her sister, Linda Ellis; her adopted mother and father, Robert and Virginia Ellis; her first husband of 23 years, Johnny Kirkley; her second husband of 26 years, Aubin Rigaud; her brother, Bobby Ellis; and her step-daughter, Renee' Rigaud Rabon.

Survivors include a sister, Jackie Ellis Hogan of Soso; a sister-in-law, June Ellis of Mt. Olive; 3 step-sons, Rocky (Donna) Rigaud, Rodney (Julie) Rigaud, and Randall (Shelia) Rigaud and their families, all of the Grand Isle Louisiana Area; and her nieces and nephews that she treasured as her own children; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
