Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Holifield will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at The Blended Church on Hwy. 590 in Seminary. Mrs. Holifield, age 78, passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at her residence near Seminary. Brother Tim Hopkins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bullock Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Craft, Stan Sims, Joey Pendleton, Greg Jones, Chase Sanford, and Grady Windham.

Martha Flowers Holifield was born on December 1, 1947, in Jones County to Forrest and Clyde Jenkins Flowers. Mrs. Holifield earned her Master of Arts Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and was a retired teacher with the Covington County Schools. She loved her family, church family, and friends. Mrs. Holifield was a member of The Blended Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Forrest and Clyde Flowers; 1 brother, Dale Flowers; and 1 sister, Lillian Anne Sims.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John Holifield of Seminary; 3 daughters, Lea Holifield, Jonna Holifield, and Hope Holifield, all of Seminary; 5 grandchildren; and 1 brother, Reggie Flowers of Laurel; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be the Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:30am until 12:00pm at The Blended Church.
