Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Kitchens will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 7, 2025, at The Blended Church on Hwy. 590 in Seminary. Mrs. Kitchens, age 86, passed away from this life on Friday, July 4, 2025, at her residence near Seminary. Brother Tim Hopkins and Brother Mark Kitchens will officiate. Interment will follow in the Blended Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Smith, Jimmy Kitchens, Paul Boyd, Dale Boyd, Bailey Hollingsworth, and Johnny Parker.

Mary Alice Boyd Kitchens was born on June 17, 1939, in Jayess to J.C. and Geree Dunaway Boyd. Mrs. Kitchens was a private sitter and was a member of The Blended Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, J.C. and Geree Boyd; 3 sons, Mark Martin, Roger Martin, and Jerry Kitchens, Jr.; 4 grandsons, Dwayne Martin, Marty Martin, Hershel Perrin, Jr., and Trent Kyzar; 1 great-granddaughter, Breanna; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Makenna; and 3 brothers, Delton Boyd, Billy Boyd, and Paul Boyd.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Kitchens, Sr. of Seminary; 4 daughters, Nelda (Raymond) Kyzar of Jayess, Charmaine (Mark) Flowers , Tabitha (Herschel) Perrin, and Marlena (Billy Joe) Lowery, all of Seminary; 3 sons, Don (Brenda) Martin of Seminary, John (Tandy) Martin of Moselle, and Wayne Kitchens of Pearl River, LA; 28 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jessie (Buddy) Easley of Zachary, LA, and Anita (Donnie) Comeaux of Brandon; and 2 brothers, Bobby (Sue) Boyd of Marietta, GA., and Tim (Gwen) Boyd of Zachary, LA.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be the Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at The Blended Church.
