Graveside Funeral Services for Michael Mitchell will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2020 in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell, age 73, passed away from this life on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Collins. The Reverend Justin Corley will officiate.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Nick Wilks, Adam Graham, Brandon Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, and Hunter Poore.

Michael Jason Mitchell was born on November 24, 1946 in Collins to Benson Jason Mitchell and Vivian Vernell Sanford Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a retired logger and a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother and father; 1 son, Joseph Mitchell and 1 daughter, Denise Knight.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Fay Nell Abercrombie Mitchell; 3 sons, Anthony Mitchell (Pam) of Petal, Jason Mitchell (Pam) and Greg Poore, all of Seminary; 2 daughters, Vickie Flowers of Hot Springs, AR, and Mindy Helms (Michael) of Seminary; 11 grandchildren, Taylor Wilkes, Haley Graham, Brandon Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, Hunter Poore, Dana Mims, Chase Mitchell, Justin Knight, Amber Knight, and Timothy Flowers; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Steve Walters (Audrey) of Seminary; 3 sisters, Beverly Jones (Buck) and Anita Byrd, both of Sweetwater, and Vivian Riles (Johnny) of Seminary; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
