Graveside funeral rites for Mr. Mitchell Barrett will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the Ora Cemetery. Mr. Barrett, age 62, passed away from this life on Thursday, September 10, 2020, in Jackson. Brother Reese Douglas, Jr. and Brother Gary Bridges will officiate.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will Mike Bridges, Ricky McNair, Arthur Graham, Mason Graham, Clay Thornton, Dudley King, Jake King, and Kenneth Yates.

Mitchell Joe Barrett was born on January 25, 1968, in Collins to Charles and Helen Dickens Barrett. He was a truck driver and a mechanic. Mitchell Barrett was a member of Sunset Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Survivors include 2 sons, Carey Barrett (Carol) of Richland, and Terry Barrett of Dallas,TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Rhonda Bridges (Gary) of Collins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2020, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the graveside.
