Rhoda Cole Yawn, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, died Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home in Havana, Arkansas at the age of 105. Rhoda was born in Collins, Mississippi on February 11, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Jesse Robert "Bob" Cole and Dilla Elizabeth Rawls Cole. She was a retired nursing home activity director and a member of the Havana First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school until the age of 100.

Rhoda was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Monroe Yawn, and three children: Eddie Jo Doerre and her husband, Larry Wayne Doerre; Robert "Bob" Newton Yawn; and Don Cole Yawn. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Carl Herman Cole, Herman's twin infant brother, S.D. Cole, and William Hulon Cole; and five sisters: Jon Doris Alley, Edna Earle Boyce, Cordelia Myrtrude D'Amico, Joyce Helena Allen, and Jesse Mae Bickham.

Rhoda is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lois Yawn, of Havana, Arkansas, as well as her grandchildren and their spouses: Todd Doerre and Johnna Johnston Doerre; Rickey Doerre and Cindy Doerre; and Lisa Doerre-Scott and John Scott, all of whom reside in Texas. Other survivors include six great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pastor Lee Faler will officiate a graveside service at Willow Grove Baptist Cemetery in Collins, Mississippi on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST. Arrangements are being made by Wade Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi, and Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville, Arkansas.
