Funeral Services for Mr. Wayne McPhail Jr. will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Seminary Baptist Church. Mr. McPhail, age 67, passed away from this life on Friday, August 30, 2024. The Reverend Dr. Tim Hubbard will officiate, and interment will follow in the Ora Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Hittle, Mike Campbell, Zach Murphy, Joe Male, Tim Lott, and T.J. Mixon.

Wade Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.

Robert Wayne McPhail, Jr. was born on December 11, 1956, in Chalmette, LA, to Robert Wayne McPhail, Sr. and Wilma Wright McPhail. Mr. McPhail attended Collins High School before beginning a 50 year career as a pipeline welder. He was a Christian and attended Seminary Baptist Church.

Affectionately known as Bubba to his siblings and Uncle Bubbles to his nieces and nephews. Wayne was a loving brother and uncle. He enjoyed water skiing, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, watching car races, cruising in Jeeps, sneaking treats to dogs, and spoiling kids.

Wayne was a hard worker and a kind, quiet man who found a sense of peace and solitude in the outdoors. He had a very generous heart and didn't hesitate to help someone in need. He had a slightly mischievous personalty, and he loved inserting his absurd and silly sense of humor into conversation.

Mr. McPhail was preceded in death by his mother and father; his stepmother, Frankie McPhail; his sister, Deborah Caldwell; and a nephew, Richard Daniel McPhail.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Janet Rose (Neal) of Lexington, KY, James McPhail (Pam) of Seminary, Jessica Miller (Guy) of Collins, LeeAnn McPhail of Calera, AL, Roxanne Miller (Pistol) of Seminary, and Richard McPhail (Alissia) of Collins, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Seminary Baptist Church.

Waitresses far and wide will miss Wayne, so in lieu of flowers or donations, Wayne's Family asks that you honor his memory by extending an act of everyday genorosity, as he was known to do.
