Mr. Robert L. Wade

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wade will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Smyrna Baptist Church. Mr. Wade was 85 and was a resident of Seminary. He passed away from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Seminary. Rev. Gary Bridges will officiate. Anne Ingram and Susan Dean will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Charlie McNeese, Herman Atwood, Kevin Atwood, Eddie Sadowski, Joe Smith, and Richard Allday. Daniel Broome and Brandon Broome will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Robert L. Wade was born in Wadetown on March 8, 1932, to Willie Estus Wade and Mary Virginia Reynolds Wade. He was a retired millwright and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

Preceding Mr. Wade in death were his mother and father; his wife of over 50 years, Eva Atwood Wade; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Hamilton; and 1 brother, Thomas Wade.

Survivors are his daughter, Roberta Faye Broome and her husband Daniel of Oak Grove; a son, William Chester Wade of Seminary; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Claiburn and Brandon Broome; 1 sister, Jean Atwood of Seminary; his caretakers, Christy McNeese and Neecie McNeese; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Smyrna Baptist Church.
