Funeral Services for Mr. Rodney Dean Overstreet will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Sandy Run Worship Center in Hattiesburg. Mr. Overstreet, age 70, passed away from this life on Monday, May 15, 2023, at his residence. Reverend Lavon Overstreet will officiate and interment will follow in the Richburg Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rodney Dean Overstreet was born on February 16, 1953, in Hattiesburg to Reverend Phillip Overstreet and Mrs. Bertha Neurohr Overstreet. Mr. Overstreet was a retired house painter and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 1 son, Randall Overstreet; 2 brothers, Phillip Overstreet, Jr. and Richard Overstreet, Sr.; and 5 sisters, Phyllis Overstreet, Cynthia Overstreet, Catherine Overstreet, Jean Overstreet, and Shirley Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elaine Craft Overstreet of Hattiesburg; 1 daughter, Melissa Overstreet of Hattiesburg; 2 sons, James Overstreet (Heather) of Petal and Keith Overstreet (Amanda) of Seminary; 11 grandchildren, Cambry Overstreet, Austin Overstreet, Hayden Overstreet, Josh Guy, Joseph Guy, Haven Overstreet, Haley Overstreet, Dustin Overstreet, Ryan Overstreet, Nicholas Overstreet, and Katie Overstreet; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Bonnie Brackett of Gulfport; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30am until service time at the Sandy Run Worship Center.
