Funeral services for Mrs. Roslyn Joy McDaniel will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Chapel of the Wade Funeral Home in Collins. Mrs. McDaniel, age 71, passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Bay Springs. Reverend Darrell Coats and Reverend Reed McDaniel will officiate. Victoria Coats and Nelda Keys will provide the musical service. Interment will be in the Okahay Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Jeffrey Jones, J.P. Hargon, Chris McDaniel, Dale McDaniel, and Shannon McDaniel.

Roslyn Joy King McDaniel was born June 2, 1945 in Ferriday, LA, to Truman King and Clara Estelle Floyd King. Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker and a member of Calhoun Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 1 son, Douglas Ellzey; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Tommy McDaniel of Mt. Olive; 3 daughters, Debbie Williams and her husband Robert of Farmington, MO, Betty Jo Jones and her husband Jeffrey and Annia McDaniel, all of Mt. Olive; 1 son, Clay McDaniel and his wife Darlene of Taylorsville; 3 sisters, Mary Blakney and her husband Tom of Taylorsville, Ann Pitts and her husband Wendell of Big Creek, and Teresa Wiley of Walnut Grove; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home in Collins.
