Funeral services for Mr. Roy Hand will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Station Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hand, age 76, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home near Mt. Olive. Bro. Clay Williamson will officiate and interment will follow in the Station Creek Cemetery.

Wade Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Yates, John Speed, Greg Toney, Robert Powell, Jr., Bill Diehl, and Jordan Hand. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Dennis and Wiley Tom Wade.

Roy Hand was born on April 21, 1945, in Collins to Fred Hand, Jr. and Flora Sullivan Hand. Mr. Hand worked as a sewing machine mechanic for twenty-seven and a half years for Stevens Sportswear and was a longtime employee of Knight Farms. He was a member of Station Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 5 brothers, James "PeeWee" Hand, Walter Hand, Ben Hand, Richard Hand, and Jimmy Dean Hand; and 1 sister, Bessie Strebeck.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Hand of Mt. Olive; 1 son, Randy Hand (Sherrie) of Mt. Olive; 1 daughter, Amanda Powell (Robert, Jr) of Raleigh; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Hand, Kelsey Hand, Brynn Sellers, Brooke Sellers, Robert Powell, III, and Katie Powell; 2 adopted grandchildren, Logan Knight and Colton Knight; 2 brothers, Cecil Hand of Mize and Albert Hand (Jean) of Collins; and 2 sisters, Marie Floyd (Charles) of Ellisville and Hattie Mae Dennis of Mize; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Station Creek Baptist Church.
